During his 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Chhattisgarh's Korba city, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP-led Centre of failing to address unemployment and inflation issues, claiming that people's livelihoods were being impacted while the rich prospered. Gandhi emphasized the need for a caste census and criticized economic disparity, alleging that the country's top companies were predominantly owned and managed by individuals from privileged backgrounds.

Highlighting the plight of marginalized communities, Gandhi pointed out the absence of representation from backward classes, Dalits, and Adivasis in top corporate echelons, despite comprising 74% of the population. He criticized the recent inauguration of the Ram Mandir, alleging that it showcased the presence of affluent individuals while overlooking the struggles of the common man. Gandhi further condemned the Agnipath scheme, expressing concerns about its impact on army recruitment and national unity.

"Tell me, have you seen any poor, labourer, unemployed person or small businessmen at the Ram Mandir inauguration (last month)? I only saw Adani ji, Ambani ji, Amitabh Bachahn, Aishwarya Rai and other big businessmen. Adani ji, Ambani ji and their families were giving big statements," Gandhi said.
